Excellent size/height for my AR pistol. Advanced Combat Sight System (ACSS) works flawlessly on multiple caliber weapons, in a pistol or carbine setup. Matte black looks good (see picture) and I don’t mind the oh-so common red mirror-tint you see when looking directly into the front lens. Since Im using it on a home PDW (see picture) I leave it powered on & sleeping when in standby, and turn it off when I take the gun out of the house until I’m ready to shoot (so the frequent movement doesn’t drain the battery). Overall: it feels sturdy, people tell me it looks sexy, and I know it performs great after 150 rounds. Will update here if I ever have problems. Let’s hope I never have to test the seemingly outstanding warranty.

Been looking for well designed CQB type sight for my AR that wasn’t too busy but would allow for medium range shots as well. This sight is perfectly designed to meet that need! The only things I found to be difficult are: 1) the chevron and BDC dots are tiny… like real tiny, and B) the range between “too faint to see” and “too much illumination” is very narrow. Some of that is probably because my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be (20/30 unaided).

I am very happy with my purchase. Coupled with an A.R.M.S QD mount it co-witnesses nicely on my Krebs kv-13. Not a huge fan of the mount I bought and will most likely switch to a Larue. Unfortunately my eyesight isn’t the best and the reticle is a little blurry for 100 yard shots but at 50 I was able to put together some really nice groups. Time to get some glasses and test the BDC dots. If you don’t have the best eyesight like me the outer ring is very helpful. For the money this red dot is very nice and the reticle is awesome. I have gotten used to using a Chevron on my Kashtan 1p78 and IMO the sharp point of a chevron like the one on this optic and the Kashtan is much better than any red dot.
